Request a ConsultationUnmarked
No label. No logo. Nothing to announce it.
There is no tag inside the collar and no name woven into the lining — not ours, not anyone's. A suit made for one person should never be an advertisement for the house that made it. Those who know will recognise the work by the way it sits on you. Everyone else will simply notice that it does.
- No house label Nothing sewn into the collar, the lining or the inside pocket.
- No visible branding No crest on the buttons and no name on the cloth — anywhere.
- Only your name, if you wish Your initials, worked by hand inside the coat, placed where only you will see them.
The Suit
Five stages, and no shortcuts
-
01
Measurement
Thirty-two measurements, taken by hand. Posture, stance and the slope of each shoulder are recorded alongside them — the tape on its own never tells the whole story.
-
02
Your Pattern
Drawn by hand, by a cutter, directly onto your cloth — never generated by computer, never a stock block resized to approximate you. The lines that become your suit are drawn for your body and for no one else's.
-
03
The Raw Suit
Cut from your cloth and stitched together by hand into a first suit, built to your measurements. It is made to be worn once and taken apart again — white thread, raw edges, nothing hidden.
-
04
The Fitting
We fit the raw suit on you and shape it into a mould of your body — a shoulder sitting a fraction high, a sleeve pitched forward, a collar standing away. The smallest details are marked in chalk while you are standing in it.
-
05
Kept in Your Name
Your pattern joins our archive, held under your name with every note from your fittings. It is yours for as long as you are a client — so each new commission begins with a message rather than a measurement, wherever in the world you happen to be.
The Shirt
A shirt that stays the size it was made
-
01
Measurement
Neck, chest, shoulders — and both wrists, measured separately, because the one that wears a watch needs a cuff cut for it. A shirt sits closer to the body than a coat, so there is nowhere for an approximation to hide.
-
02
Pre-shrunk in House
Before a line is drawn, every length of shirting goes through our own industrial heater and gives up its shrinkage there. The shirt that fits on the day it arrives still fits after the fiftieth wash — no surprises, and no sizing up to allow for them.
-
03
Cut by Hand
Your shirt pattern is drawn by hand and each shirt cut with shears, one at a time — collar, yoke, cuffs and fronts laid so that a stripe runs true from the collar to the hem.
-
04
Stitched by Hand
Sewn by hand, seam by seam, with a fine close stitch that lets every seam lie flat against you and give a little as you move — the difference you feel the first time you reach for something.
Our Partners
The houses we work with
We work with more than forty mills and merchants, so you choose from the world's cloth rather than from the handful of books that happen to suit a tailor's margin. Where one of these houses has a cloth we cannot better, we say so — and where it does not, we show you the one that does.
